LABOUR RIGHTS

The management of Bornion Timber Sdn. Bhd. supports the relevant conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO) as signed by the Malaysian Government with full concern, and without any restriction:

- ILO Convention No. 87 on the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise
- ILO Convention No. 98 on the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining

The objective of this Policy is to ensure that the employees of Bornion Timber S/B are properly informed about their core labour rights and the company commitment to comply with the provisions made in these Conventions, to which the Government of Malaysia is a signatory member. As a result, the company does not prohibit any of the employees from joining a legal union.

This Policy Statement, as well as any associated procedures will be reviewed on regular basis as necessary, to reflect any changes in the policies of the Government of Malaysia.
